How Walkabout Works

We bring guided VR and other immersive experiences directly to people who may find it difficult to get out or take part in activities elsewhere. Using VR headsets and other immersive technology, we create comfortable, supported experiences built around each individual.

1. We Bring the Experience to You

We bring the equipment, set everything up and take care of the technology, so the focus can stay on the person and the experience.

2. You Choose What Interests You

From peaceful natural spaces and familiar places to culture, music and completely new experiences, each person can choose something that feels right for them.

3. We Guide You Through It

We stay with each person throughout, helping them get comfortable, explore at their own pace and adjust or change the experience whenever needed.

Personal Support

We stay nearby throughout the experience, helping with the equipment, answering questions and making adjustments whenever they are needed.

Every session is designed to feel calm, comfortable, and easy to engage with. We take time to adapt experiences to each person, creating a relaxed environment where people can simply enjoy the moment.

Safety & Support

Simple To Explore

Experiences are designed to be simple and comfortable to use, with easy controls and carefully chosen environments suited to different interests and comfort levels.

Participation

Participation is always optional, and experiences can be adjusted or stopped at any time. Where appropriate, we work with staff, carers or family members to understand individual needs before a session.

The Experience Doesn't End With the Technology

The technology opens the door, but it isn't the whole experience.

We give people time to react, talk, remember, laugh, ask questions or simply take in what they have experienced. Sometimes an immersive experience leads naturally into a story, a memory or a conversation with the people around them.

Bring Walkabout Immersive to Your Setting

Whether you're interested in a one-off experience or something more regular, we'd be happy to talk about what could work for the people you support.
